SpiceJet to launch services to Nepal, Colombo in Oct
New Delhi: Low-cost airline SpiceJet has started a new price war with the start of its international operations to Sri Lanka and Nepal from October offering discounted fares between 40-50% to gain market share, the carrier said in a statement on Tuesday
It will flag off its first international flight from New Delhi to Kathmandu on 7 October with all inclusive one way fare of ₹ 232 compared with those available at ₹ 6005- ₹ 488 for other airlines, according to data from Makemytrip.com.
This will be followed by flight from Chennai to Colombo on 9 October with a similar inclusive one way fare of Rs1,882 compared with the existing fares of Rs3,138- 6,121 on this sector.
The carrier said that they will fly Boeing 737-800 aircraft with all-economy 189-seat configuration.
