New Delhi: The country’s largest business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Genpact Ltd has announced its entry into Brazil.
Genpact is providing finance and accounting services to drug maker Astra Zeneca from São Paulo, it said.
The Indian firm also offers services out of Mexico and Guatemala in Latin America.
“Genpact’s expansion into Brazil is in line with our growth strategy to bring our global business practices and expertise to rapidly growing emerging economies to serve global corporations expanding there as well as local growth companies,” president and chief executive officer Tiger Tyagarajan said.
The firm is aggressively recruiting and training employees to grow its operations in Brazil, it said in a statement.
Genpact’s Brazil unit is called Genpact Brasil Gestão de Processos Operacionais Ltda. The company did not disclose details of its investment in Brazil.
