GE Electric appoints T P Chopra as President-CEO for India div

New Delhi: General Electric Company today appointed Tejpreet Singh Chopra as the president and Chief Executive Officer for its Indian division.
Chopra would be responsible for strategic and overall leadership of all GE businesses in India, a company statement said.
Prior to the appointment, Chopra had held the position of president and CEO of GE’s Commercial Finance business in India, the statement said, adding Chopra has also been the Senior Vice-President and Country Head - India for GE Commercial Aviation Services.
“T P Chopra brings with him in-depth industry experience that will play a very crucial role in driving for accelerated growth in India. I am confident that Chopra’s leadership will help us continue to grow in this strategically important market,” GE International President and Chief Executive Officer Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco said.
