Indoco licenses eyecare drugs to SA’s Aspen

Mumbai: Drug maker Indoco Remedies Ltd said on Monday it licensed out the rights for a wide range of eyecare drugs to South Africa’s Aspen Pharmacare Ltd. The deal encompasses a number of ophthalmic products and will extend to 30 countries from emerging markets.
Aspen will market and distribute the products immediately on obtaining regulatory approval.
Indoco chairman and managing director Suresh G. Kare said in statement “the Indoco-Aspen tie-up will bolster our international foothold, thereby catapulting Indoco to a level critical to be recognized as a significant international player".
