New Delhi: Ginger Hotels today said it will open 13 hotels across the country by 2010, taking its total inventory to 30 properties.
The budget segment brand of Indian Hotels Company opened a hotel in Mangalore recently and is now looking to expand into cities like Guwahati, Durg, Surat and Chennai in the next phase over the next year.
“The Ginger Hotel in Mangalore is the 17th hotel ... Soon we are set to enter Guwahati and Durg, while work on hotels has commenced at Surat, Chennai and Jamshedpur. We will have a total of 30 hotels by 2010,” Ginger Hotels said in a statement.
The group, however, did not disclose its investment plans for the expansion project.
The hotel group has currently around 1,700 rooms and would be adding 100-150 rooms in each of its new hotels.
Last year, the group had announced a four-year plan to set up around 70 hotels by end of 2012-13 fiscal.
