Hugo Boss changes Indian partner
Genesis Luxury has taken over the marketing and distribution operations of the existing Hugo Boss stores from UAE-based Bin Hendi
Mumbai: German luxury fashion company Hugo Boss AG has changed its Indian partner to Genesis Luxury Pvt. Ltd whose portfolio of partners includes Canali, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Etro, Paul Smith and Jimmy Choo.
The earlier partner was UAE-based Bin Hendi.
The German brand has two BOSS stores in India, at DLF Emporio in New Delhi and at The Palladium in Mumbai in a marketing and distribution partnership with Bin Hendi.
“Genesis has taken over the existing stores from the previous business partner. Both stores will undergo renovation this summer for a new interior concept," Genesis said in a press statement.
The partnership model between Genesis and Hugo Boss is for distribution and marketing and the two companies are in talks to evolve this into a joint venture partnership for growth in India, said a Genesis spokesperson.
Jewellery and apparels topped the areas of spends by India’s super rich at 18% and 15% respectively, according to the Top of The Pyramid India 2015 report.
