Nalco Q2 net dip 26% to Rs440 cr
Mumbai: National Aluminium Company Ltd (Nalco) today posted a 26.06% decline in net profit at 439.73 crore for the quarter ended 30 September against Rs595 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
The total income of the company decreased to Rs1,472.54 crore for the September quarter, compared to Rs1,543.05 crore for the same quarter last year, NALCO said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Incorporated in 1981, as a public sector enterprise of the Government of India, National Aluminium Company (Nalco) is Asia’s largest integrated aluminium complex, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs286.90, up 0.12% on BSE.
