Pennsylvania: Hershey, the second-biggest U.S. candy maker, says its fourth-quarter (Q4) profit increased 51%, helped by pricing measures and its Reese’s and Hershey’s brands.
Hershey, Pennsylvania-based Hershey Co. said on Tuesday that it’s net income rose to $82.2 million, or 36 cents per share, from $54.3 million, or 24 cents per share, a year earlier.
Excluding 23 cents per share in charges related to its global supply-chain transformation and a charge related to trademark values, profit was 59 cents per share.
Sales climbed 3% to $1.38 billion from $1.34 billion to meet analysts’ estimates.
