New Delhi: Apparel and accessories retail player Koutons Retail India Ltd has said that its profit after tax rose by 9% to Rs13.32 crore in the the third quarter of the current fiscal compared to the same period last year.
It had reported a PAT of Rs12.25 crore recorded during the third quarter of 2007-08, Koutons said in a statement.
The company announced net sales of Rs228.95 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal, a growth of 32% over the net sales Rs173.10 crore reported during the corresponding period of last fiscal.
Koutons, which currently has more than 1,400 outlets across the country, admitted that the ongoing slowdown has made an impact on its performance.
“The global recession and slowdown being witnessed by the retail sector has had a slight impact on our results as well. The company has however maintained its efforts and strategies towards providing quality products at affordable cost,” Koutons Retail India Ltd Chairman D.P.S. Kohli said.
