Elder Pharma to enlarge global footprint

Kolkata: Drug maker Elder Pharmaceuticals, plans to spread its footprint to eastern Europe, Middle-East and South-Central America, the company’s managing director Anuj Saxena said.
The Mumbai-based company plans had recently acquired stake in London-based Neutrahealth as part of its expansion programme.
Faced with the challenges of post WTO era and the global village, the company has upgraded its manufacturing facilities to meet international standard, Saxena said here.
Elder Pharma currently exports its products to countries like Nigeria, Vietnam, Mexico, Mauritius, Pakistan, Srilanka and Brazil.
Saxena, who was here to a launch, said the company was all set to move ahead propelled by its strategic tie-ups backed by its research and development work and strong marketing set-up.
The company had posted a turnover of Rs462 crore the last fiscal through its units at Selaqui and Pontasaheb in Uttarakhand and Langroa in Himachal Pradesh.
