Kolkata: Footwear major Bata India reported a 20.3% jump in its net profit at Rs25.40 crore during the last quarter of 2009 as against Rs21.11 crore in the same period last year.
During the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2009, net sales increased by 12.8% to Rs288.09 crore compared to Rs255.22 crore in the corresponding period last year, the company said in a filing with the National Stock Exchange.
The results were announced after the company’s board meeting on Wednesday.
Consolidated net sales during the year ending 31 December 2009, inched up by 10.7% to Rs1,090.17 crore compared to Rs984.37 crore in the previous year.
Net profit for the full year 2009 increased by 5.9% to Rs62.57 crore against Rs59.05 crore in the last year.
