Dabhol plant to shut two units for maintenance
New Delhi: “Dabhol power plant will shut two of its four generating units for maintenance from 20 November," a company source said.
One of its units has already been shut after a breakdown, cutting its output to 900 megawatts from 1,200 MW
“The planned maintenance will reduce the output of the natural gas-fired plant to 300 MW, but normal generation would resume in the first week of next month," he said.
The Dabhol power plant is run by Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd in which gas transmission firm GAIL and top power producer NTPC Ltd hold stakes.
