Suzlon bags wind turbine orders from Romania, Portugal
Mumbai: Wind power major Suzlon Energy along with Martifer has bagged contracts for supplying turbines to projects in Romania and Portugal.
“This order represents Suzlon’s first wind turbine order in Romania and is a major addition to the Company’s expanding global footprint," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Suzlon’s Denmark-based wholly owned subsidiary Suzlon Energy, has secured a contract with Martifer for the delivery of 29 S88-2.l MW turbines, totalling to a capacity of 60.9 MW, to projects in Romania, the company added.
The company however did not disclose any financial details of the order.
Besides, Suzlon and Martifer also signed a contract for wind power development in Portugal, supplying nine S88 turbines between the Baiao and Vila Franca de Xira wind farms for a total 18.9 MW of capacity.
Shares of the company closed at Rs227.60, down 6.64% on BSE.
