Trai seeks spectrum pricing comments
New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has asked for comments on issues that include pricing of air waves, allocation eligibility and the maximum amount given to bidders for certain radio bands that have recently become available.
The new radio spectrum would significantly speed up growth of broadband and wireless technologies, especially in rural areas, Trai said in a statement on Wednesday.
It released a consultation paper that advocates a flexible regulatory approach for operators to deploy new technologies at low cost.
