New Delhi: Real estate developers and retailers need to collaborate more and target consumers at Tier I and Tier II cities to explore the emerging opportunities in the Indian retail sector, industry experts felt in a recently concluded meet.
In the Stellar Power Breakfast: Retail meet arranged by executive search firm Stellar Search, the participants were unanimous on the view that women are increasingly becoming an important consumer group.
Bijou Kurien, president, Lifestyle at Reliance retail, Viney Singh, MD Max Hypermarkets, Subhinder Singh Prem, MD Reebok India, and Pramod Arora, group president, PVR Cinemas were among the leading corporate representatives in the meet.
The sector specialists decided to focus on key HR issues like, attrition and common benchmarks of evaluation during hiring to minimize hurdles in these fronts.
