Hindustan Zinc Q4 net up 17% at ₹935 cr
Mumbai: Leading zinc producer Hindustan Zinc Ltd on 26 April posted a 16.58% jump in net profit at Rs935 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, against Rs802 crore for the same quarter in the last fiscal.
Total income of the company, part of the Vedanta Resources Group, rose to Rs2,095 crore for the January-March quarter this fiscal, up 15.55% over Rs1,813 crore in the corresponding period of 2006, Hindustan Zinc Ltd informed Bombay Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the company’s board has recommended final dividend at the rate of 25% for the year 2006-2007.
The results for the year ended 31 March show that HZL posted a net profit of Rs4,442 crore as compared to Rs1,472 crore for the year ended 31 March 2006.
Total income also increased to Rs8,791 crore for the year ended 31 March, against Rs4,006 crore for the 12 months ended 31 March 2006.
