Kolkata: ITC Ltd, India’s biggest cigarette maker, on Thursday said in a stock market filing that it has appointed Kurush N. Grant, who was part of its leadership team, as a whole-time director for three years.
ITC has appointed a new whole-time director for the first time since January 2001. Till Grant’s elevation to the post, the company had two whole-time directors—Anup Singh and K. Vaidyanath.
Grant joined ITC in 1980, and became chief executive of its tobacco division in 1999. He headed the division till last year and helped launch almost all of ITC’s other consumer goods businesses.
