Mumbai: Dish TV India, a unit of Essel group today said its net loss for the second quarter ended 30 September stood at Rs154.11 crore, while it had a net loss of Rs91.93 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
Income from the sales and services rose to Rs173.27 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs75.50 crore for the same quarter last year, Dish TV India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For the six-month period ended 30 September, the company has posted a net loss of Rs279.55 crore, against Rs181.70 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Net sales, for the six-month period ended September, rose to Rs337.73 crore, from Rs184.78 crore for the corresponding fiscal last year.
“We are confident that we will be able to deliver results within the planned corridor for the year-end,” Dish TV India, Chairman Subhash Chandra said.
Dish TV India has added seven new channels on its platform in quarter under review which include general entertainment, regional and news segment, the filing added.
Shares of the Dish TV India closed at Rs13.95, down 10.86% on the BSE.
