New Delhi: Global financial major ING today announced the appointment of former SEBI Chairman M Damodaran as chief representative and advisor for its India operation.
In this newly created non-executive role, Damodaran would work with the management and partners of banking, insurance and investment business units to further expand the company’s position in the financial services sector in India, the Netherlands-based financial service provider ING said in a statement.
“His recognised expertise will significantly contribute to the execution of our growth strategy in India, it said.
Damodaran who has experience over 30 years, demitted office of SEBI Chairman in February.
Active since 1994, ING employs 10,000 staff in the country.
