Indo Asian Fusegear sets up plant in Haridwar

New Delhi: Indo Asian Fusegear Ltd, an electrical equipment manufacturing firm has commissioned a new state-of-the-art switchgear plant in Uttrakhand.
This is a full scale manufacturing unit, which has been set up with a project cost of Rs40 crore, and will have an annual production capacity of over Rs200 crore. It will enable the company to double its switchgear production capabilities.
While inaugurating the plant, Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Bhuwan Chand Khanduri, chief minister, Uttrakhand said, “Uttrakhand is fast emerging as a favourite destination for leading corporate houses to set up their manufacturing plants. The state government is actively encouraging environment friendly manufacturing facilities, which also offer vast employment opportunities.”
VP Mahendru, chairman and managing director, Indo Asian Fusegear said: “This move will equip us to keep pace with the growing demand for switchgears globally”.
The plant is spread over an area of 1.6 lakh sq feet and has a capacity of producing goods worth Rs200 crore per annum, that will primarily cater to the domestic market.
