L&T bags Rs1,250-cr order from ONGC
Mumbai: Engineering firm Larsen and Toubro on Monday said it has bagged a Rs1,250 crore order from state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation for construction related works in the Mumbai High.
Under the contract, L&T would construct three platforms, modify pipelines for the Mumbai High South field, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The project, scheduled to be completed by April 2009, includes engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of the platforms and modification of sub-sea interconnecting pipelines.
The contract was won through a competitive bidding process against international competitors, L&T said.
L&T would carry out the engineering design at their subsidiary L&T Valdel in Bangalore, while fabrication work would be carried out at its shore-based manufacturing complex at Hazira near Surat and the fabrication facility at Sohar in Oman, it added.
Shares of L&T were trading at Rs3,570, up 0.93%, in the morning trade on the BSE.
