Mumbai: Promoters and larger shareholders of budget carrier SpiceJet Ltd are not interested in selling stake at current valuations, Ajay Singh, director, said on Wednesday.
“As far as I know the promoters at this time are not interested in selling their stake at this valuation,” he told television channel CNBC-TV18.
Kalanithi Maran, promoter of Sun TV is interested in buying a 51% stake in the airline while Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and Religare Enterprises have also shown interest, two Indian newspapers reported this week.
Singh said the promoters collectively hold about 30% stake in the airline, but declined to comment on the media reports.
