Mumbai: Pipemaker PSL Ltd’s order book stands at about Rs40 billion, managing director Ashok Punj told television channel CNBC-TV18 on 25 June.
“As far as our domestic company PSL is concerned, we are taking about an order book of approximately Rs4,000 crores ($1 billion) he said.
This excludes the order books of its Sharjah and U.S. subsidiaries, he added.
The company posted a net profit growth of 41.5% to Rs183.2 million on a 63.4% rise in net sales of Rs6.6 billion for the quarter to March.
PSL’s 300,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) facility in the US, being set up by its subsidiary there, will be commissioned in the second quarter of FY09 while its 75,000 TPA Sharjah unit expects robust demand from the Middle East, it said in a statement.
