Brakes Auto plans a new venture in Chennai, Kolkata
Mumbai:Auto ancillary maker Brakes Auto India is investing ₹ 100 crore in its new venture in Chennai and Kolkata to manufacture heavy and light vehicle components. “The company will also be manufacturing automobile, locomotive, aerospace and maritime components. Plans are also afoot to manufacture specific items, which are used in defence mechanism and locomotives, wagons and engine parts," Brakes Auto managing director S. Suresh Sharma said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Brakes Auto is slated to begin commercial production at its Nardhana Industrial Area plant in Dhule of Maharashtra from May.
