Allahabad Bank Q4 profits up 56%, dividend for shareholders
Mumbai: Allahabad Bank on Monday said its net profit jumped by 55.78% to Rs264.05 crore in the March quarter of 2008-09.
The bank had a net profit of Rs169.50 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Allahabad Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income stood at Rs2,373.37 crore for the quarter under review, against Rs1,980.16 crore during the same period of FY’08.
For the year ended March 31, the company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹ 790.47 crore, down 20.47 per cent from ₹ 993.98 crore in 2007-2008.
The board has proposed a dividend of Rs2.50 a piece to the shareholders of the company.
Shares of Allahabad Bank were trading at Rs56.70, up 8% on the BSE.
