Mumbai: IT and BPO major Mphasis posted 59% increase in net profit at Rs29.03 crore on 3 May for the quarter ended 31 March, as compared to Rs18.26 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal.
The total income grew 55% to Rs161 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March from Rs103.93 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, Mphasis informed the BSE.
“This fiscal has been one of great challenges and achievements. We have grown from strength to strength after a subdued first quarter to record our highest ever profits as a company,” Mphasis chairman Jerry Rao said.
As a combined group with EDS India, we have crossed 20,000 people and are looking at building on this solid foundation in the time to come, Rao added.
For the year ended 31 March, the company recorded a net profit of Rs71.33 crore as compared to Rs76.22 crore for the period under review last year and the total income increased to Rs530.00 crore from Rs385.29 crore.
The group posted a net profit of Rs45.56 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, as compared to Rs35.15 crore for the same quarter last year and the total income of the group rose to Rs334.72 crore from Rs251.63 crore.
For the year ended 31March, the group posted a net profit of Rs119.87 crore as against Rs149.85 crore for the year-ago period and the total income increased to Rs1,183.21 crore from Rs947.75 crore.
