New Delhi: Soft drinks major PepsiCo India today announced a change at the senior management level with the appointment of Vivek Bharati as Executive Director for External Affairs.
The company said Bharati would replace Abhiram Seth, who is retiring after serving the company for about 15 years. Seth led the external affairs and exports function since 2002.
He was instrumental in creating backward linkages with farmers for sourcing raw materials for processing and PepsiCo’s contract farming model which is now acknowledged as a major initiative in the field of agriculture.
An ex-journalist, Bharati was advisor for national policy and programmes to Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) prior to joining PepsiCo.
