GAIL plans 07/08 capex at $670 mn

New Delhi: India’s state-run gas transmission company GAIL (India) Ltd plans to invest Rs27.4 billion ($670 million) in the current financial year on various pipeline and exploration projects, Chairman U.D. Choubey said on Wednesday.
“Of the planned expenditure, Rs18.5 billion will be invested in pipeline projects, and Rs5 billion will be in exploration and production,” Choubey told reporters.
GAIL’s share of subsidies on kerosene and LPG during the last financial year rose 40% to Rs14.8 billion, he said.
