New Delhi: Air India Ltd, which ordered 68 planes from Boeing Co. last year, is considering buying more aircraft, Chairman V. Thulasidas said.
The airline, India’s biggest overseas carrier, is considering purchasing passenger and cargo aircraft, Thulasidas told reporters in New Delhi today. He reiterated the airline’s plan to sell shares in an initial public offering after 2009.
Air India will complete the legal requirements for a merger with Indian Airlines Ltd by June, he said.
