VBHC appoints Ravi Ramu as CEO
The move comes after ex-chief P.S. Jayakumar left the firm to join state-owned Bank of Baroda last October
Bengaluru: Affordable housing firm VBHC Value Homes Pvt. Ltd has appointed Ravi Ramu as its chief executive and managing director, after P.S. Jayakumar left the firm to join state-owned Bank of Baroda last October.
Founded by entrepreneurs and former Citibank NA colleagues Jaithirth Rao and Jayakumar, VBHC has projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru, National Capital Region (NCR) and Chennai.
In the past, Ramu has been chief financial officer with MphasiS Corp. and Puravankara Projects Ltd, and most recently was mentor and head-International Markets at Grant Thornton India.
“Ravi joins us at a time when VBHC Value Homes has attractive diversification plans in the areas of affordable rental housing, eco-friendly upscale projects and overseas projects, besides plans for venturing beyond metros into other urban agglomerations," said VBHC chairman Jaithirth Rao.
“We are confident that Ravi will play a vital and extremely positive role in engaging with all our important constituencies: our customers, employees, suppliers and present and prospective investors," Rao added.
