Mumbai: Aurobindo Pharma said on Friday it has received US FDA approvals for ampicillin and sulbactam injections in bottle, single-use vial and bulk pack formats.
Ampicillin and sulbactam is a sterile semi-synthetic penicillin product falling under the anti-infective segment, it said in a statement.
The drug is a generic equivalent to Pfizer Inc’s branded injection Unasyn, it added.
The product has a market size of approximately $50 million as of June 2009 in the US it added.
