New Delhi: Times Global Broadcasting Co Ltd (TGBCL), the broadcast division of media company Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL), has announced a content partnership with Thomson Reuters, a global multimedia news agency, for its business news channel ET Now, which is scheduled to go on air next month.
With this collaboration, the channel will receive real-time breaking financial news content from Reuters reporters based in New York and London, TGBCL said in a press release issued on Monday. The television hosts will cross to a live report from Reuters to provide the global perspective on breaking financial news, it added.
”For more than 150 years, Reuters has been an integral part of India’s marketplace,” said David Schlesinger, editor-in-chief, Reuters said in the press release. ”We recognize that there’s a very compelling financial story to be told in India and we are committed to working with The Economic Times on telling this story in new and innovative ways.”
Previously, Reuters held a 26% stake in Times Now, the general English news channel of TGBCL, for two years before the partnership expired in January 2008.
