New Delhi: Looking to strengthen its India presence, British specialist recruitment group Hays Plc plans to open offices in four more cities including tech hubs, Bangalore and Hyderabad in the coming years.

Hays, which has presence in 30 countries, currently has offices in Mumbai and New Delhi.

“India is a growing market and there is rising demand for talent. We just opened our office in New Delhi. We are also looking to set up offices in four cities metros—Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata—in the next three to five years," Hays managing director (Gulf Region & India) Chris Greavas said on Tuesday.

The firm’s workforce in India which currently has some 30 employees is expected to be around 250 to 300 people in three to five years Greavas said.

Catering mainly to senior level recruitment needs, Hays deals with permanent positions, contract roles as well as temporary assignments.

Greavas noted the company garners significant revenues in India from recruitments related to the IT sector. “There is also good demand for skilled professionals in other sectors such as online retail and infrastructure...," he added.

Hays started India operations with its Mumbai office, which was opened in early 2009.

For the year ended 30 June 2010, the company received net fees to the tune of 557.7 million pounds. Out of the total amount, 58% came from temporary placement business.
