Manipal Hospitals invests in men’s health clinic
Manipal Health Enterprises will invest `40 crore over the next two-three years in Ankur Healthcare
Bangalore: Manipal Health Enterprises said it would invest ₹ 40 crore over the next two-three years in Ankur Healthcare, which specializes in providing services related to men’s health and fertility.
Ankur Healthcare will be renamed Manipal Ankur Andrology and Reproductive Services, and will be led by Vasan S.S., the founder of Ankur Healthcare.
Manipal did not say how much stake it was buying in the new company.
With Manipal’s investment, the new company expects to increase sales to ₹ 100 crore over the next three years, Manipal chief executive Rajen Padukone said at a press conference.
Padukone said the largely unorganized men’s fertility services market is worth around ₹ 1,680 crore.
Mainpal Ankur Andrology aims to open eight centres within two years and expand its footprint to 12 healthcare centres.
