New Delhi: Here is a swanky set of wheels that promises to cut down your ever-ballooning fuel bill even as crude prices threaten to break the $150-per-barrel mark. Honda Siel has just launched the Civic Hybrid, which, as the name suggests , is driven by two sources of energy — regular fuel and electricity.

c245e6ec-3de9-11dd-88f9-000b5dabf613.flvPriced at Rs21.5 lakh, the Civic Hybrid is available in one version but comes in two colours — white and silver. Honda Siel claims the car delivers an economic mileage of 17-21 km to the litre. It is 50% more efficient than the petrol version but heavier on the pocket. What makes the car smooth to drive is a combination of a regular engine and an electric motor.

Honda hopes to sell over 200 machines this year.
