Videocon Industries Q2 net increases 32.50% at `20.18 crore
Videocon's net standalone sales also increased to `3,176.20 crore in Q2 as compared to `3,015.52 crore in year-ago period
New Delhi:Videocon Industries Ltd on Friday reported an increase of 32.50% in its standalone net profit at ₹ 20.18 crore for the quarter ended September 2013. The company had posted a standalone net profit of ₹ 15.23 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Videocon said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company’s net standalone sales also increased to ₹ 3,176.20 crore in the July-September 2013 quarter as compared to ₹ 3,015.52 crore in the same period a year ago. Videocon’s standalone revenue from its consumer electronics and home appliances segment was ₹ 2,795.36 crore as against ₹ 2,700.61 crore in the year ago period. The company’s revenue in the second quarter from the crude oil and natural gas segment increased to ₹ 385.29 crore as against ₹ 318.20 crore in the same period last year.
