Toulouse: Southern France-based regional aircraft manufacturer ATR appointed Stéphane Mayer as the new CEO from 1 June 2007.
He succeeded Filippo Bagnato whose three-year mandate expired at the end of May 2007. Filippo Bagnato has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of ATR.

The Board of Directors and the Assembly of Members of ATR expressed their appreciation of Filippo Bagnato’s contribution to the success of the ATR Programme.
Stéphane Mayer holds an engineering degree from the French school Polytechnique and since 2003was Chairman and CEO of EADS Socata.Mayer is also an active private pilot.He holds the French honour, Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite.
ATR is the world leader in the 50 to 74-seat turboprop market. In 2006, ATR posted a turnover of $ 700 million, an increase of 30% compared to 2005.
ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica and EADS.
