Mumbai: Optical storage device maker Moser Baer on 23 May posted a net loss of Rs78.90 crore for the year ended 31 March 2008 against a profit of Rs109.78 crore the previous year.
Total income fell to Rs2,001.72 crore from Rs2,061.24 crore last year, Moser Baer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
It also said its subsidiary, Moser Baer Solar PLC, plans to raise up to $150 million for which the board of directors of Moser Baer have given their consent.
It has declared dividend of Re1 on equity shares of Rs10 each (10%) for financial year 2007-08.
The group reported a net loss of Rs202.28 crore for fiscal 2008 as against net profit of Rs78.82 crore last year.
Net sales or income from operations rose to Rs2,070.01 crore in 2008, from Rs1,984.03 crore in 2007.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 189.25, up 0.13% on the BSE in morning trade.
