New Delhi:Hyundai Motor India would raise prices across all models between 2-3% by January2008 owing to rising input and freight costs, the an official with the South Korean auto firm said on 18 December here.
“From the first week of January there will be a price hike across all the models. The increase could be between 2-3 %,” the official said.
He said that the price increase will include even the latest hatchback i-10, which was launched with an introductory price, starting from Rs3.39 lakh.
HMIL’s product range starts from the flagship Santro, the base model of which is priced at Rs2.70 lakh, while its top end Sonata Embera is priced at Rs15.71 lakh.
Rival Maruti Suzuki also plans to raise car prices up to Rs12,000 from January, while General Motors plans an optimum of 2 % hike.
