Mahindra to recall Scorpio Ex variant for preventive inspection

Mumbai: Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, India’s largest sports utility vehicle maker said it will recall the Scorpio Ex variant manufactured between May 2012 to November to carry out preventive inspection for potential defects. The company said this in a filing to BSE on Tuesday.
At 12.20am, Mahindra’s shares were trading at Rs.1,218.65, down 1.65%. The Sensex was down 0.21% at 26,045.95 points.
Following the voluntary recall policy implemented since July 2012, auto makers in India have been recalling vehicles for potential defects.
