Mumbai: Firstsource Solutions Ltd, a Mumbai-based outsourcing company, said fourth-quarter profit rose 74.2% from a year earlier to Rs.40.2 crore.
However, if compared with the preceding three months, net profit declined 3% in the quarter ended March. Revenue grew 14.6% to Rs.712.5 crore from a year earlier.
“The fundamentals of our business continue to remain the same with sharp focus on growth and profitability,” said Rajesh Subramaniam, managing director and chief executive officer of Firstsource.
For fiscal 2013, Firstsource’s revenue grew 25% from a year earlier to Rs.2,818.5 crore and profit more than doubled to Rs.146.6 crore. Employee strength stood at 31,872 with a net addition of 1,786 employees during the year.
The company derived 46% of its revenue from the US, 34% from the UK and 20% from rest of its market, including India, as of 31 March 2013.
Shares of Firstsource gained 0.73% to Rs.11.09 apiece on BSE on Wednesday.
