Mumbai: State-run power generator NTPC said that its net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September grew by 9.6% to Rs2,110.51 crore, from the corresponding period a year ago.
Total income rose by 18.94% to Rs10,406.21 crore for the quarter under review, NTPC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For six months ended 30 September, NTPC reported a net profit of Rs3,837.04 crore, a 10.67% decline over the year-ago period.
The company’s net sales rose to Rs19,200.89 crore in the first half of current fiscal, from Rs16,975.67 crore in the year-ago period.
NTPC was trading at Rs128.50, down 10.08% on the BSE.
