New Delhi: Capgemini, a software services export firm, has appointed Anish Sarkar as the head of consulting for India.
Sarkar will drive the consulting business for the domestic Indian market, bringing in the company’s global offerings around strategy and transformation across different industry segments such as manufacturing, utilities, telecom and pharmaceuticals.
Sarkar has been with the company since 1998. Prior to this new role, Sarkar was global sales officer for Capgemini India, responsible for offshore sales and account development of global clients, as well as driving sector-based solutions and innovation from the country.
“India is witnessing a need for transformation amongst the businesses, to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. The clients are not only seeking strategic consulting but also its successful implementation,” said Salil Parekh, chief executive officer of application services, North America, UK, Asia Pacific, and global financial services, at Capgemini.
