RCF aims ₹6,500-cr turnover on increased sales in FY11
New Delhi: State-owned Rashtritya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF) on Wednesday said that its turnover is likely to go up by over 11% to over Rs6,500 crore in the current fiscal on increased production and sales.
“We had recorded Rs5,826-crore turnover last fiscal. It is likely to go past Rs6,500 crore this fiscal," a senior RCF official told the news agency on the sidelines of a fertiliser conference here on condition of anonymity.
The official said that the production of fertiliser by the company would increase to 28-29 lakh tonnes this fiscal from 25.96 lakh tonnes in 2008-09.
Last year, RCF had produced 20.89 lakh tonnes urea. This is likely to go up to 22 lakh tonnes this fiscal, the official said, adding that the increased production would come from the Trombay plant where urea capacity has been hiked to 3.5 lakh tonnes.
The company has also started bottlenecking of its Thal unit with an investment of Rs488 crore. The additional capacity would come into stream by October next year, he said.
