Honda CEO says no plans for ultra-low cost car

New Delhi: Honda Motor Co does not plan to make an ultra-low cost car to take on Tata Motors’ Nano, but is working on a second small car for India, chief executive Takanobu Ito said on Wednesday.
“We don’t have any plan for ultra low-cost car," Ito told a news conference in the Indian capital.
Honda, which makes premium sedans Honda City, Civic and Accord in India, earlier this year launched its first compact car in India, named Jazz.
