Himachal Pradesh suspends Wockhardt drug
State drug controller suspends manufacture, sale and distribution
Mumbai: Drug maker Wockhardt Ltd on Wednesday said that the state drug controller of Himachal Pradesh had suspended the manufacture, sale and distribution of one of its formulations for irritable bowl syndrome a combination of dicyclomine hydrochloride, tramadol hydrochloride and acetaminophen.
The reason for the suspension was not disclosed.
Wockhardt is filing an appeal before the state government to revoke the suspension. The product contributed less than 3% of the consolidated sales of Wockhardt during the financial year 2013-14.
