New Delhi: Automaker Tata Motors on Wednesday reported 1% increase in its sales at 54,622 units sold during November compared to 54,108 units sold in the year-ago period.
Its total passenger and commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 50,419 units in November, which was a jump of 1% from the sale of 50,114 units in November last year, according to the company statement.
The company’s latest offering Nano’s sales during the month stood at 509 units, which was down by 85% over November last year.
Indica range reported sales of 5,716 units, down by 37% from November 2009, Tata Motors said.
Indigo range recorded sales of 6,009 units, a rise of 1% over the same month last year. Sales of Sumo, Safari and Aria increased by 40% at 3,106 units.
In the commercial vehicles segment, the company sales were up by 19% at 35,079 units sold in the domestic market compared to 29,408 units sold in November last year.
Light commercial vehicles sales during the month were at 20,376 units, a growth of 21% over the last year, while medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales stood at 14,703 units, a growth of 18% when compared with November 2009.
The company’s exports in the last month grew by 5% to 4,203 units compared to 3,994 units in the same month last year, it added.
