Mumbai: Asahi India Glass on 28 May posted an 86.64% fall in post-tax profit Rs8.94 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, against Rs66.95 crore for the year-ago quarter.
Total revenue (net of excise) of the company grew 46.88% to Rs234.92 crore, from Rs159.93 crore for the same quarter a year ago, Asahi India informed the BSE.
The board of directors of the company decided to declare an interim dividend of Re0.65 per equity share as the final dividend for the financial year 2006-07.
The company also declared a dividend of 0.01% on six lakh non-cumulative preference shares of Rs100 each for the fiscal.
The profit after tax for the year ended 31 March also dipped to Rs42.08 crore from Rs86.27 crore. However, total revenue grew to Rs784.47 crore from Rs591.32 crore for the period under consideration.
The group’s a net profit slipped to Rs43.32 crore for the year ended 31 March, against Rs86.30 crore in the year-ago period and the total revenue rose to Rs789.40 crore from Rs594.93 crore in the period under review.
