Mumbai: Kalanithi Maran controlled media company Sun TV posted a profit after taxes of Rs 59.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, on 29 January 2007. This meant a rise of 49.79 per cent as compared to Rs 39.90 crore in the same priod a year ago.
Total income of the company rose by 31.83 per cent at Rs 125.02 crore for the third quarter as against Rs 94.81 crore for the corresponding period in 2005, Sun TV informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board of directors of the company have also declared 30 per cent interim dividend of Rs 3 per share, it added.
Andhra Bank Q3 net up 6 % at Rs 136 cr: Andhra Bank on 29 January 2006 said it has posted a 5.75 per cent growth in the net profit at Rs 136.28 crore for the quarter ended December 31, compared to Rs 128.86 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income of the company rose by 15.67 per cent to Rs 945.62 crore for the third quarter as against Rs 817.50 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2005.
