BackNTPC pays Rs4,742 crore dividend for 2013-14
NTPC pays final dividend of `1,442.97 cr on Tuesday, interim dividend of `3,298.19 cr was paid in February

New Delhi: Country’s largest thermal power producer NTPC has paid a dividend of ₹ 4,741.16 crore to the government for the financial year 2013-14.
“The company had paid interim dividend amounting to ₹ 3,298.19 crore on February 10, 2014. Today, the company has paid the final dividend of ₹ 1,442.97 crore," NTPC said in a statement.
This is the 21st consecutive year that NTPC has paid dividend.
NTPC has been paying dividend since 1993-94 and has paid ₹ 37,000 crore since then of which the government’s share was ₹ 32,000 crore.
Presently the equity of government is ₹ 6,180 crore.
The NTPC scrip closed at ₹ 140.50, down marginally, on the BSE.
